| Tips to make this an enjoyable day |
- The event is free! Come in and enjoy the live entertainment and many food and craft vendors.
- 3-D GLASSES are a must-have. They are available for $2.00 at our Rotary Information Booth. If you have never watched a fireworks display using 3-D glasses, you are in for a treat! The Rotary Information Booth is located in the middle of the park near the east entrance to the softball diamond and sound stage. While there, ask about the Rotary Club and learn about the many projects and organizations we support.
- Fireworks are launched from the field behind (north of) Albertson's Market. Find an area with a clear view to that location.
- Arrive early. Many attendees arrive early to stake out prime spots. Each year, we have no less than 100 people in the park at dawn staking their territory for the day. The fireworks show is visible from anywhere in and around the park. Some spots, however, may be more desirable under shade trees and near our many food vendors or our stage.
- Bring and apply sunscreen. July temperatures can break the 100 degree mark and the sun can be quite intense. Chances of rain are slim.
- Need to cool off? Buy a VIP package for our event, and enjoy a catered meal in an air conditioned tent. Meet and socialize with some of our Rotary staff and VIPs from the community.
- A shaded eating area with tables and chairs is available near the Kids Zone.
- Lawn chairs and/or blankets are a great idea.
- Awnings, pop-ups, or umbrellas are permitted in some areas during the day. All should be removed or taken down by 7:00 p.m. to allow clear aerial views by the people surrounding you.
- For the safety of others, animals and pets are not allowed in the park the day of the event.
- Food and drinks are available in the park. You may bring a picnic basket or cooler, however, we strongly encourage all attendees to support our vendors. Through the support of the vendors, this event is brought to you free each year.
- Lost and Found is located at the Rotary Booth.
- No outside alcohol is permitted in the park. Beer and Wine is available for purchase in designated areas.
- No outside fireworks of any kind are permitted. The Simi Valley Police Department and Ventura County Fire Department will be in attendance. You will be cited or arrested if found in possession of fireworks.
- Please help us make this a safe and fun event for the entire community.
